I am awake now because Simone can't sleep. At least we made it until 4am this morning. Rick and I have been trying to keep Simone back in bed and were trying to get her to go back to sleep by rubbing her back but after 45 minutes she was starting to get loud. I am glad though that she made it almost a hour more this morning.
Just around 4am Simone started to quietly giggle in bed and Sophie quietly giggled back. Then Simone started to make little sounds with her voice and Sophie Wei would do the same.....I started to think to my self, oh boy here we go again they are both getting up again early but Sophie Wei went back to bed.......
So I am going to try and finish day one.
I just have to post more photos of Sophie with her good friends and of course because I feel so blessed to have seen these two children! I can't stop thinking about it how lucky we were.
I do want everyone to know that the Ayi's are very protective of the children and I am not even really sure why we got so lucky to see these two children?? Maybe because we were not able to take a tour?? It does not matter why but when I said my prayers last night I was so thankful for this because I know how important these kids are to each other and you can genuinely see how happy Sophie Wei is with them.
Look at Simone, every thing about this adoption is clicking, on God's timing. Simone has instantly turned into such a big girl, she is ready for that transition. Oh how blessed we are that things are working out during this transition. Simone has had a couple of ruff moments with talking back but cries after because she knows she was wrong. She is doing such a great job and likes China!
When we got on the air plane in Tokyo to come to Guangzhou she ran on the plane a head of us while we tried to deal with the stroller. She was just so comfortable. I was like where did Simone go but could also see her. One air line stewardess went after her, she was at the end of first class and Simone started to cry very loudly. She said she loves Mommy and Daddy not that lady. It broke my heart but I also know she might of been scared and knew that she should of not done that. Also when we first landed in Guangzhou there were a lot of people and she just held tightly on my neck and said she does not want that Police officer to take her. I just held her and told her every thing would be ok. I think she was over whelmed again but not sure what was going through her head?
A couple of notes to your comments.
WE LOVE THE comments and enjoy reading them!!!!!!!!!! Thank you everyone!!!!!!!!! Words can not express how thankful we are for them. Please keep them coming because this blog is going to be turned into a scrap book via the blog book maker.
Mike, we hope to make it to your change of command ceremony! Since Sophie Wei is so different from when Simone came home we might be able to make it to the beach. We will see if things change???
