Leaving Chengdu Arrive in Guangzhou

Just as soon as we arrived at the White Swan Hotel in Guangzhou we see this beautiful car arrive with flowers all over it on the outside. Then tons of photographers and video people come to see who is in it. Not sure who they are but they must be of some importance. Then on the reader board we saw that there was a wedding reception going on in the hotel but I can not remember their name, I wish I did.......Feels SO SO good to be back at the White Swan!!!!!!!!

She even looked at me so I could capture a photo. She is beautiful!
Here is a little bit about our plane ride from Rick, this is what he wrote in an email to his Mom:
"We are now in Guangzhou for about an hour. We left Chengdu in a frantic, as I am sure will be the case with two kids from now on. The devastation in Chengdu outer limits are hard to imagine unless you see it.
Sophie has adjusted well and Simone can not keep her hands off her wanting to pick her up constantly! Sophie speaks Chinese, of course, we can not understand her. She is already saying a couple words and is catching on fast with right and wrong. The best news we found out is that she has had the casts on her feet and has started the bracing process. They did not give us any brace because they need them for other kids.
Sorry we have not called yet but we will be relying on email this trip. The last hotel had plug in receptacles that allowed for our computer and this hotel does not, so it might take a couple times to the markets to purchase the correct adaptor. Right now we are running off the battery.
Michele has been staying up late updating our blog. We have been in contact with the Watson's via Skype. it's an amazing program for free but both parties must have the video camera. Do you have the video camera? If so go to "Free Skype download" and you can be up and running in 5 minutes with FREE communication to us. Anyway, all are doing great except the extra fees that are hurting us. We were told we were the only foreigners in Chengdu because the government closed down everything. Luckily our approval came before the word was given. I will let you go and do my best to get back to you sooner as we will be in Guangzhou for a week (more of a home feeling). P.S. You know what the Chinese Two Step is????????"
As Rick said we had a ruff day yesterday...It all started when got my right contact out I put the NO RUB SOLUTION on it and then into my eye (yes, the kind you are not suppose to put directly into the eye). All I could think of was High School Chemistry Class and learning how to flush out your eye. It hurt so bad and my eye went RED!! I should of stayed in bed...
...I am also sure it did not help that we all have not been sleeping the best and having four backpacks, one carry on suite case for our breakables from Chengdu and one stroller that we took on the plane with us.
When we arrive in Guangzhou we had to wait for over 45 minutes for our bus! I think we scared our guide with how cranky we were to each other. I apologized today and said sorry but we were exhausted! I am glad that it was only a two hour flight from Chengdu to Guangzhou.
So needless to say we all went to bed around 8pm and are feeling back to normal, both kids slept long and hard. What a relief, finally!
