Items Needed for Sophie's Orphanage

People are asking us how can they help us or others affected by the earthquakes in China.

Another idea we have is to bring money with us so while in China we can purchase things that Sophie's Chengdu Orphanage Needs. (We have limited space in our luggage.) A couple of weeks ago we asked our Adoption Agency to let us know what they needed now. This of course may change due to the Earthquake and has changed since their winter needs although you see some things stay the same like the need for diapers :O)

Our plan is to go to Walmart and purchase what they need, rent a van and then deliver it to the Chengdu Orphanage. Our goal is to purchase a dryer, fans or air conditioning unit. Below is the email that we received from our Case Worker. So if you would like to make a donation for our Chengdu Orphanage Fund just let us know, you know how to get a hold of us.

"Hi Michelle, Items that the orphanage may need are driers for children’s diapers and clothing in the winter, air conditioners or fans for the baby’s room, floor mats for play rooms, bottles, cloth or disposable diapers, etc. I hope this helps. Sincerely, Linda"
